OU campus to close Tuesday, classes to take place online

February 15, 2021 | 8:34 pm
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The Oakland University main campus and Anton Frankel Center in Macomb will be closed on Tuesday, February 16, due to inclement weather expected to begin Monday evening and continue into Tuesday morning.

Despite the closure of facilities, all in-person classes scheduled to meet on Tuesday will instead take place virtually where possible. Students should log-in to Moodle and monitor their university email accounts for additional information. All virtual classes planned for Tuesday will take place as scheduled.

Students seeking academic and other support services can take advantage of virtual services on Tuesday. Additional information is available on the Online Student Services web section.

University essential workers will be expected to report to campus based on emergency closure guidelines. University employees who are able to work remotely on Tuesday are asked to do so. Those who are not able to work remotely should not report to campus.

Campus facilities to be closed throughout the day on Tuesday include Kresge Library, the Recreation Center and the Oakland Center. These facilities are expected to reopen on Wednesday, February 17, for normal operating hours.
