Oakland University will close effective 5 a.m. on Monday, January 28, 2019, due to safety concerns associated with snow accumulations on campus roads and sidewalks. In accordance with Policy 482 – University Closing, all classes and activities at the University’s main campus and at OU Macomb are cancelled unless otherwise specified, and all but essential University operations will cease.
Campus community members who keep vehicles on campus beyond normal operating hours are advised that a Snow Emergency will be declared on Monday, January 28, effective at 10 p.m. and continuing through Tuesday, January 29, at 6 a.m. Vehicles will need to be moved from all University lots except Designated Snow Emergency Parking Areas detailed in Policy 483: Parking During a Snow Emergency prior to 10 p.m. These lots include the covered levels of the P-29 and P-32 parking structures, the Ann V. Nicholson and Matthews Court Apartments lots and the P-35 parking lot.
The University is scheduled to resume normal operating hours at 5 a.m. on Tuesday, January 29.
