This is a reminder that the University has declared a Snow Emergency effective at 10 p.m. this evening, Monday, January 28, and continuing through 6 a.m., Tuesday, January 29.
Campus community members with vehicles on campus lots are advised that all vehicles will need to be moved to Designated Snow Emergency Parking Areas prior to 10 p.m. The lots, which are detailed in Policy 483: Parking During a Snow Emergency, include the covered levels of the P-29 and P-32 parking structures, the Ann V. Nicholson and Matthews Court Apartments lots and the P-35 parking lot.
Resident students needing to move their vehicles to Designated Snow Emergency Areas and to return to other parts of campus can take advantage of a snow emergency Bear Bus route with stops at Hamlin Hall, 4000 Ann V. Nicholson Student Apartments, the P-35 parking structure and the P-32 parking structure). This short-term route will be in effect from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Monday.
A campus closure in effect on Monday is scheduled to expire at 5 a.m. on Tuesday, January 29, at which time the University will resume normal operating hours. Kresge Library is scheduled to reopen at 7:30 a.m.on Tuesday.
