The Oakland University Police Department (OUPD) is investigating multiple larceny reports received over the last several days. The incidents have occurred in offices in a variety of buildings around campus. Items stolen have included cash, as well as credit and debit cards taken from unattended purses.
One suspect is described as a thin, light-skinned black male in his 20’s and approximately 6 feet tall. His weight is estimated at 190 pounds and he has a short beard.
A second suspect is described as a heavy, dark-skinned black male in his 20’s and approximately 5 feet, 8 inches tall. His weight is estimated at 260 pounds and he has a short beard.
A photo taken of the suspects at an area retail store appears above. Anyone who may know the identity of these suspects or who has information relating to this crime should contact the OUPD at (248) 370-3331.
The OUPD would also like to remind the community:
- Keep your purse, wallet, cell phone, keys, or other valuable items with you at all times, or locked in a drawer or closet even if you are leaving the area for a short period of time.
- If you plan to stay late in your office, make sure someone you trust knows where you are and when you plan to leave.
- Contact the OUPD to request a “Safe Walk” if you feel uncomfortable walking to your vehicle alone after hours.
- Be aware of your surroundings and report all suspicious activity to the police.
