On Monday, October 12, 2015, the Oakland University Police Department received a report of a sexual assault said to have taken place on main campus between 1 a.m. and 2 a.m. on Thursday, October 8.
According to the report, the incident took place in West Vandenberg Hall. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male with dark brown hair, approximately 20 years old, standing 6 feet tall and weighing between 160 and 180 pounds.
The complainant met the suspect on a social media website. An arrest has not been made in the incident.

It can be assumed that conditions continue to exist that may pose a threat to members and guests of the campus community. Heightened awareness of surroundings is recommended, and community members should be aware that being on campus unaccompanied could place them in danger.
